"Azul" emerges from a fascination with the interplay between strength and serenity, a dialogue that is central to the idea of bold femininity. In this piece, I sought to capture the essence of power and grace in an abstract form, layering bold shapes with soft, tranquil hues.
Inspired by the mesmerizing beauty of marble—its organic veins & unpredictable nature I wanted to try capture a little of its beauty while maintaining a sense of control and intentionality.
The piece is framed in a handmade, deep pine floating frame, stained in a rich dark brown.
"Azul" is an exploration of femininity in all its complexities—bold, yet gentle; commanding, yet soft—and an homage to the natural world’s endless capacity for beauty and transformation.
